DETECTIVE CONAN : THE LEGENDARY OF A MYSTERIOUS BIRD



                  This movies is about The Legendary of a Mysterious Bird. It takes place 100 days before Kudo Shinichi became Edogawa Conan. Kudo Shinichi, a high school detective, arrives in Jugoya Town with Mouri Ran and others. In this town, a legend exists. It claiming that a gigantic bull-headed shrike attacks the towns people and kills them. The town was about to hold a festival in 3 days to put the giant bird's spirit to rest. While being led on a tour of the bull-headed shrike shrine by Sonoko's parent's friend, Mr. Wakura, a crime related to the legend occurs. Starting with Kosaka and then member of the Wakura family are slowly murdered in the same way.

                   This movies have a concept of physic. It is pressure. In this movie, the hydraulic pump was filled by the air. When the outward of large piston is filled by the water and the door of the piston is opened, the direction of air will flowed opposite and it will lifted up someone or something on it. It means the large piston have high pressure and the small piston have small pressure. That is why when someone or something have low pressure, it can lift up or go away when the pressure is high.


                 

Titanic dan fizik

Filem titanic sememangnya terkenal bagi yang menggemari filem cinta.Tetapi sebenarnya terdapat unsur fizik dalam filem tersebut.Antaranya ialah kapal itu sendiri telah menggunakan konsep apungan untuk terapung di lautan.Tanpa menggunakan konsep itu,mustahil kapal tersebut akan terapung dan belayar di lautan.Selain itu,kapal tersebut menggunakan enjin untuk menggerakan kapal.Sekiranya kapal tersebut menggunakan angin,ada kemungkinan yang kapal itu sampai ke destinasi agak lewat kalau nak dibandingkan dengan kuasa enjin.Konsep fizik yang seterusnya ialah inertia yang berlaku semasa kapten kapal cuba menggelak daripada melanggar bongkah ais.Semasa situasi tersebut,para penumpang terumbang-ambing sehinggakan ada yang terjatuh kerana momentum yang kuat.Akhir sekali,konsep fizik yang digunakan ialah semasa kapal tersebut terbelah dua.Ini berlaku kerana daya tarikan graviti yang dikenakan ditambah pula dengan berat kapal tersebut yang membolehkan kapal tersebut terbelah dua.

Coming Soon ( 2008 )



       Coming Soon ( 2008 ) is a movie about a young projectionist named Shane, who works at a cinema in Thailand and had promised to bootleg an upcoming Thai horror movie that has not been released yet to his friend , Chen . The horror film that he were to let his friend , Chen illegally record is about a crazy village woman who was hanged after she had been discovered for abducting and blinding children violently. After falling asleep during the screening in which his friend , Chen was recording , he woke up to find that his friend Chen had disappeared and left his DV-cam behind. He recovers Chen's DV-cam and sees a footage of Chen cowering in fright at something he had seen . Shane then becomes extra curious about what had happened and decides to run the horror movie for himself at the theatre again and was shocked to see Chen inside the movie laying dead with his eyes gouged out . The next day , Shane begins to encounter unusual paranormal events as he starts to encounter  Shomba who is the evil spirit from the movie in several places . Eventually, he finds out the terrible secret behind the haunted movie in which the actor who acts as Shomba in the movie was really killed during the shooting of the hanging scene . Shane also finds out that all individuals who was involved in the making of the movie was also dead . Shane then starts to think deeply and comes out with an idea in which why Shomba haunts the viewers of this movie . This is for her revenge on why would they publish the movie despite of her being dead . Shomba then continues hunting for Shane till the point where Shane ends up being dead similarly as his friend Chen . The movie is then released and all viewers who viewed Shomba's death will experience the same fate as Shane . 

     One of the physics concept that i see present in this movie is when Shomba was hanged to her death . The hanging of Shomba obeys Newton's First Law in which all the forces acted upon Shomba are balanced . I can say that the hanging of Shomba was a success because the upward force which is the tension of the rope which connects her neck with the ceiling is equal to the downward force which is her weight ( W=mg ) . If the upward and downward force is equal , then Shomba is said to be in equilibrium which is at a certain height from the ground . Thus , the net force towards Shomba is zero and the acceleration is also zero .Objects at equilibrium must have an acceleration of zero . However , zero acceleration does not mean the object is at rest , it may also mean that the object is moving at a constant speed and direction . But for this case , we take it as the object is at rest as Shomba hangs perfectly at a certain place . 

     In conclusion , i can say that this movie applies and the physics concept really well without disobeying it . I must say that there are a lot more physics concept in this movie , some may be simple and some may be a lot more complex than the hanging of Shomba . But in my opinion , i only see and understand this concept the most . Thank you for reading 

 

      


     ICE PRINCESS 

       I am delighted to share my watching movie experience  which I found it was interesting yet inspiring. This movie inspire me in the journey to reach dream .Ice Princess was the movie that had steel my heart and force my eye to  keep on  watching it.
       Ice Princess movie start with Casey Carlyle, a very smart and talented science student ,plans to pursue a scholarship to Harvard University. Casey must present a personal summer project about physics for the scholarship. While she was watching a figure skating competition with her friend , Ann she realizes that ice skating , would make a perfect project.
      She improve her skating by applying physics and watching it from other skaters.Later she becomes proficient and skips two levels to become a junior skater. She helps a junior skater named Gen and other friends improving their skating. Torn between her Harvard dream and her growing love of skating, Casey has difficulty juggling schoolwork, skating and a part-time job. Casey’s mother attempts to prevent Casey from skating due to her declining academic performance.At the same time, a tension occurs between Casey’s coach and Gen’s mother.
     The climax of the story was when during a competition ,Casey’s coach, Tina Harwood sees that Casey may outrank Gen,and she attempts to sabotage Casey’s performance by switching her skates.I would like to suggest you watch this movie because I may not going to proceed writing the synopsis and my intention here is to share my discoveries from the movie.To be honest, the movie had strengthen my physic knowledge on the law of conservation of angular momentum.
1)How many of us understand the properties of physics that allow skaters to glide over the ice, jump, and spin?
2)What is the reason that skaters can turn at full speed and not fly over the rink’s barrier when they come to the end of the rink?
This can easily be done by the skater if they have the ability to control their core body ,so they instinctive can balance over their skate.
“In an isolated system, with no external forces, the law of conservation of momentum states that the momentum is conserved. The law of conservation of angular momentum states that the angular momentum in an isolated system, with no external torques, will be conserved.”
First,we measures the amount of spinning motion using angular momentum.
  • The higher the amount of angular momentum of a spinning object, the faster it is spinning.
  • The amount of mass and the distance of the mass from the axis of rotation influence the number of rotations per second or known as the rate of speed.
  • The length of time a skater can hold a spin depends on the skater’s ability to centre the spin.

If they lose their centre of balance, the spin will start to wobble and her centre will shift.
Then, we use the moment of inertia as the rotational analogy to mass.
  • The moment of inertia is calculated by the mass and the distance of the mass is from the axis of rotation.
  • By increasing the mass or the distance of the mass is from the rotational axis ,the moment of inertia also increases.

Next, figure skater change her moment of inertia by controlling how close her centre of mass is to the axis of rotation.
  • By extending the arms and one leg, the figure skater can increase the moment of inertia in a spin.In contrast, by pulling the arms and legs to body, a decrease in the moment of inertia happens.
  • To slow a spin, a skater need to extend both arms away from the core body.The moment  of inertia increases, and so the angular velocity correspondingly decreases.

 Lastly, in performing a jump,
  • A skater make an adjustment in the distance of the arms from the center of the body axis, so the skater can fine the tune of the moment of inertia and the angular velocity.This principle allows the figure skater to theoretically adjust the number of turns that will be precisely made in the air prior to landing the jump

      What value I get  from this movie is we must always practice in order to get a perfect result.In order to reach our goals , we need to keep on trying even life is getting harder and tougher. Always bear in mind that nothing is really over until the moment we stop trying. We need to have a positive mind and see the problems as the way to improve ourselves and later become the best of all, just what Thomas Edition says, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work”.

Physics Concept In Movie

TRACER



                    Tracer is an action movie from America and the main actor is Taylor Lautner as Sam. So, from the movie i can catch up physics concept that had been used by the actors. 

                    First, in this movie, there are many of parkour activity. Parkour is defined as the activity or sports of moving rapidly through an area, which typically in an urban environment, negotiating obstacles by running, jumping, and climbing.
                  
                    So, my point of view about physics in this movie are most related to parkour activity by Sam who are zero knowledge about parkour and only know riding his bicycle as a bike messenger in New York. He started to feel excitement in parkour when a woman, Marie Avgeropoulus as Nikki suddenly lands on him when they bumped each other. So, Nikki suddenly walk, jump and run throughout the obstacles and climb from one floor to another floor and missing. So, Sam eager to find Nikki and at last he saw Nikki and her gang were practicing parkour. So, Sam asked to joined, but his willing to joined had been rejected.

                    So, Sam started learn Parkour. First thing he learned was balancing of his body start from lower brick to the higher brick. So, this is the first physics concept. It is easy to balance ourself at a lower brick, but when at a point of higher brick, hard to us including Nikki to balance his body. This is due to the center of gravity. If the center of gravity is low, the body more stable while if the center of gravity is high, the body balance is low and the body less stable.

                   Then, Sam learned jumping. So before he jumped, he bend his legs and jump. So, this is a second physics concept. While Sam bended his legs, actually he experienced potential energy at his legs to make sure he can jump as high as he want. The more he bended his legs, the higher potential energy.
                   
                   Next, the extreme part that Sam learned in parkour were running and jumping from one building to another building. So, before he jumped to another building, he takes a few step backwards to manage the timed before he jump to another side of building. So, this is to measure the time before the flight time. This is because when Sam jumped from building to another building, he experienced projectile motion. Then, when he succeed to jumped to another building, Sam will rolled his body to reduce the impact from the jumping and avoid injuries. So, this is a physics concept where when we increase the time of collision, the impact will be decrease.

               So, at last Sam be the one of the team with Nikki due to his succeed in learned parkour. Then, the other gang teached him more tricks while do parkour, the safety, and the harm things can happen while do a parkour.

Physics Concepts in Movie

GRAVITY

            Every year there always many genre of movie coming into the cinema. Most of the  movie coming into the cinema has a good quality of movie but, some have a bad quality of movie. The purpose that I write in this blog is I want to share one of my favourite movie that I watch many times which is Gravity in 2013. The actor of this movie is Sandra Bullock and George Clooney. Why I love so much about this movie is about there are many physics concept that is apply in this movie which I can watch while learning. The most unforgettable scene which is when Ryan Stoned that is acted by Sandra Bullock had an hallucination in the ship when she left alone because all of their friend already lost in the space. She saw her friend Matt Kowalski acted by George Clooney fly in the space. She open the spaceship door, when she open it there is nothing sound that is heard. This scene contains physics concept why there is no sound on the space because sound travels in waves like light or heat does, but unlike them, sound travels by making molecules vibrate. So, in order for sound to travel, there has to be something with molecules for it to travel through. On Earth, sound travels to your ears by vibrating air molecules. In deep space, the large empty areas between stars and planets, there are no molecules to vibrate. There is no sound there. The other scene that contains physics concept is when Sandra Bullock using her jetpack to travel in the space to repaired the spaceship. The physics concept involve in this scene is when she using the jetpack. Jetpack using conservation of momentum to make the person using it to move. The expelling gas from a pressurized container still results in a force, and according to Newton's Third Law, there is an opposite force pushing the astronaut away. This can also theoretically be accomplished by throwing an object to propel yourself away from the direction of the thrown object. There are many others physics concept that involve in this movie but that only I can explain from this movie. 

INTERSTELLAR [syai]

                           INTERSTELLAR             
This film “Interstellar” is based on real, scientific concepts like neutron stars, spinning black holes, and time dilation. And for me,  if you’re not at least semi-familiar with these terms, you might end up feeling a little lost during the movie.
In the movie, a crew of space explorers embark on an extra-galactic journey through a wormhole. What awaits them on the other side is another solar system with a spinning black hole for a sun.
They must race against space and time to complete their mission. All this space travel can get a little confusing, but it relies on some basic physics principles. And if we understand these principles, then I bet we will spend less time guessing and more time enjoying.
Generally , there are five physics concepts you need to know in order to understand “Interstellar.”
Unfortunately, I’m going to explain one of them because personally I think the others concept are quite high understanding.
Well, it is Wormholes, like the one the “Interstellar” crew use are one of the only physical phenomenon in the film that don’t have any observational evidence to support their existence. They are purely theoretical but an incredibly handy plot device for any science fiction story looking to traverse cosmic distances.
This is because wormholes are essentially shortcuts through space. Any object with mass will create a divot in space, meaning space can be stretched, distorted, or even folded. A wormhole is a fold in the fabric of space (and time) that connects two, otherwise extremely distant, regions in space, which enables space explorers to travel long distances over a short period of time.
The official term for a wormhole is an Einstein-Rosen bridge because they were first theorized by Albert Einstein and his colleague Nathan Rosen in 1935.By the way , the others physics concepts in the movie are Artificial Gravity, Spinning Black Holes, Gravitational Time Dilation and Five Dimensional Reality.

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE

When I watch this movie, I found that a lot of physics concept illustrate by the creator of this movie, Bryan Singer and Fox. First of all, Michael Fassbender as Magneto. The character is a powerful mutant, who has the ability to generate and control magnetic fields. When he lost his family, he become mad and want to destroy human. With the superpower that has been given by Apocalypse, Magneto can control all magnetic fields in the earth. A magnetic field is generated when electric charge carriers such as electron move through space or within an electrical conductor. The geometric shapes of the magnetic flux lines produced by moving charge carriers (electric current) are similar to the shapes of the flux lines in an electrostatic field.

          Second, Apocalypse and his team can go anywhere that they want to go by using his superpower that can through time travel. It is look like magnetic loop. Time travel is the concept of movement between certain points in time by using a device known as time machine, in the form of a vehicle or of a portal connecting distant points in time. Usually only in conjunction with quantum mechanics.

The Revenant

Outstanding movie. It's about the survival of this man after being betrayed by his teammates. Alone in the freezing cold woods with serious injuries, I'm surprise how he manage to pull it off thus got his revenge at the end. Especially the part he stuff himself inside a horse body after removing all the internal organs to keep himself warm before the dawn. I'm simply amazed.

To survive winter in the woods, the vital thing is to maintain our body temperature. Strong wind will increase the rate of water evaporation on the surface of our skin , hence finding a suitable hiding spot will be crucial in survival. So now let's talk about how wind speed will affect the evaporating rate of water. Evaporation only occurs when water particles have enough kinetic energy (latent heat) to transform from the liquid phase into the vapour phase.The uninterrupted air flow across the top of a our skin initiates the continuous removal of existing water vapour from the skin and allowing for newly escaping water vapour to take replace the humidity of air thus enhancing the rate of evaporation. The continuous cycle will make a human dehydrated easily moreover the cold weather will further lower our body temperature.

So the horse body will be a perfect shelter and heat source to keep the body warm in order to survive.

          Kali ini saya ingin berkongsi satu movie yang berkaitan dengan fizik. Tajuk movie tersebut ialah Mechanic: Resurrection. Movie ini mengisahkan Bishop, seorang lelaki yang diberi tugas untuk membunuh beberapa orang musuh utama Crain. Antara musuh Crain ialah Adrian Cook. Adrian Cook tinggal di sebuah apartmen yang sangat mewah dan berada di tingkat paling atas. Apartmennya mempunyai kolam renang yang tersendiri. Melalui kolam renang itu, Bishop mendapat idea untuk membunuh Adrian ketika dia sedang mandi di kolam tersebut. Bishop memanjat apartmen yang didiami oleh Adrian dengan menggunakan tali dan mempunyai ketegangan yang dapat menampung berat Bishop. Bishop membunuh Adrian dengan cara menggerudi kolam renang semasa Adrian berenang di kolam tersebut. Untuk pengetahuan semua, kolam renang di apartmen Adrian berada di tingkat tertinggi tetapi di bawahnya adalah jalan laluan orang ramai. Maksudnya, orang ramai dapat lihat kolam renang tersebut dari bawah. Kolam renang itu retak dan hancur kerana Bishop memasukkan cecair yang dalam meletupkan sesuatu objek. Lubang yang digerudi itu adalah luas permukaan dimana boleh dikaitkan dengan formula P=F/A. Lubang yang digerudi sangat kecil dan menghasilkan tekanan yang sangat tinggi. Oleh itu, isipadu air di dalam kolam tidak dapat ditampung menyebabkan kolam itu pecah. 

Magic Trick Revealed





Now You See Me, finds the world's greatest ragtag team of magicians, 'The Four Horsemen'. In one of their show, one of them make a magic with a box and rabbit. The secret from behind the scene is a plane mirror. The magician use law of reflection. So, the audience just see the reflection from the bottom of the box. The rabbit still sit in the box. They also use the same trick to make a robbery. They robbed a safe from a bank. They used a big mirror to deceive the police.



Law of reflection state that the incident ray, the reflected way and the normal all line in same plane and the angle of incidence, i equals the angle of reflection, r. The audience is the observer. Image formation by a plane mirror is vertical which is the bottom of the box. The characteristics of the image formed by the plane mirror are virtual image. Virtual image is seem to form by light coming from the image but light does not actually pass through the image. The image would not appear on paper, screen or film placed at the location of the image. The image also formed upright and the object distance, u equals the image distance, v. This all characteristic obey the law of reflection.


KRISHH 3

Berdasarkan cerita krishh 3, perkara yang berkaitan fizikyang boleh saya lihat dalam cerita tersebut ialah apabila ayah Krishna, en Rohanyang juga merupakan seorang saintis telah melakukan beberapa ekseperimen tentang pengcahayaan, tetapi gagal. Suatu hari, dia telah menemukan cara penyelasaian tentang  eksperimen tersebut. Dia mendapati bahawa cahaya matahari boleh menyebabkan tumbuhan membesar dengan cepat, dengan syarat cahaya yang dipancarkan tidak terlalu banyak kerana apabila terlalu banyak, tumbuhan di dalam pasu tersebut akan meletup. Setela dia menemukan cara penyelesaian tersebut, dia memberitahu anaknya, Krishna yang juga merupakan seorang super hero.

Semasa berlakunya pertempuran, Krishna telah diserang dengan teruk sehingga dirinya lemah. Ayah Krishna telah menggunakan alat yang telah dibuat daripada eksperimen pengcahayaan untuk menyelamatkan anaknya. Tetapi en.Rohan telah menggunakan badan nya sendiri untuk menapis pengcahayaan yang dipancar daripada matahari kepada Krishna sehingga dirinya terburai dan akhirnya mati.

Akhirnya, semasa Krishna ingin menentang musuh, Krishna telah menggunakan alat yang terakhir yang telah ditinggalkan oleh ayahnya dan akhirnya musuh tersebut hancur terburai disebabkan kuasa pengcahayaan yang sangat kuat sehingga menembusi badan musuh tersebut.

ZOOTOPIA

In Zootopia movie, Judy and Nick Wilde are the main characters. Judy is a small rabbit and Wilde is a fox who is mischievous. The first scene that attract me is when Wilde buy a big Popsicle and melt it down by using heat transfer from the sun to make a lot of small Popsicle as the sun can melt the solid Popsicle into liquid . Wilde and his team freeze the small Popsicle by using the heat transfer from the cold snow. Wilde sells it to cute chipmunks for 2 dollars per popsicle.


The second scene that related to  physics is when the chipmunks throw the popsicles sticks into the dustbin. the sticks easily thrown to the dustbin as the chipmunks throw the sticks by using an approximate angle and the popsicles travel in an exact range. This shows the chipmunk applied the parabolic motion when throwing the popsicles sticks. 

SAN ANDREAS


            “San Andreas” is a movie which related natural disaster-earthquake and tsunami. An air rescue pilot, Ray and his wife Emma are planning a divorce and they have a daughter, Blake. One day, Emma’s boyfriend, Daniel brings Blake to his office at San Francisco and Blake has two new friends Ben and Ollie. Suddenly, an earthquake happened. Ben and Ollie help Blake to escape from trapped in car but Daniel leave Blake alone in the trapped car. This is the part I feel so annoyed. After that, Ray saved Emma from collapsing building and then they go to save their daughter together. My feeling after watching this movie is we can only realise who are be true to us when we are in suffer.
            Now, talk about physics concept which related to earthquake and tsunami. Earthquakes are the phenomena and it occurs when two blocks of earth suddenly slips past each other. The surface where they slip is known as the fault plane. The sudden release of energy causes a shock wave. Earthquake can divided into two types of shocks which are fore shocks and main shocks.  Major earthquake are often started by frequent fore shocks and follow by the main shocks. Following the main shocks, the further movement is known as aftershocks which occur as the rock masses settle in their new position. Earthquake brings many effect such as destroy the environment in surrounding area by causing fires, landslide and tsunami. Tsunami usually occurs when earthquakes take place underneath the ocean or when landslide take place in the ocean. Underwater earthquakes cause the ocean floor to fall and rise abruptly which causes large volumes of water to be displaced. This displaced water form into a rolling wave and then become a tsunami.
            Last but not least, both earthquakes and tsunami are natural disaster that we cannot prevent it. After watching this movie, I know that how terrible the effect of earthquake and tsunami. I feel very lucky as I stay in a country which does not experience these disasters.

'MILLION DOLLAR ARM' AND PHYSICS



This movie is about a sport agent, JB Bernstein and his friend who want to find a few talented people in baseball game to include them in the professional league.
There are a lot of baseball games' scenes in this movie. So, I would like to relate the baseball game and physics concept. Based on my observation, two of physics concept in the baseball game are the momentum between the bat and ball and the trajectory of the baseball.
First of all, there is an elastic momentum between ball and the bat during the hit. Elastic momentum is defined as total momentum initial is equal to the total momentum final. I observed that bat performance depends on the interplay of the elasticity of the ball-bat collision, the inertial properties of the ball and bat, and the bat swing speed.

Next, I realized that the performance of the baseball game also depends on the flight of the baseball. Mistake on the flight of the baseball may cause trajectory of the batted ball sliced toward right field. In an ideal world, all baseballs would land at the same place. But, there is great variation in the distance, depending not only on the type of baseball (NCAA, MiLB, MLB) but even which baseball of a given type. An important conclusion is that variation in fly ball distance is due much more to ball-to-ball variation in the drag (for example, due to small differences in surface roughness) than to variation in spin.

PHYSICS IN MOVIE (KUNG FU HUSTLE)

      Kung Fu Hustle is a 2004 Hong Kong-Chinese martial arts action comedy film, directed, co-produced and co-written by Stephen Chow, who also stars in the lead role. The story started in 1940's China, and gangs rule the city. The most notorious of them all is the axe gang, lead by the insane Brother Sum. A slum called Pig Sty Alley is the only area safe from the Axes because the people there are so poor. Soon, wanna be gangster Sing and his pal Bone attempt to extort money out of a barber and fail, drawing the real Axe Gang to Pig Sty. However, it turns out that there are several kung fu masters living in the slum, and soon the two sides are enemies. 

      This movie is all about kung fu played by gangster chinese to protect themselves from anermies. The term Kung Fu refers to the martial arts of China. The physics concept in this movie is about the sound waves. Some of the men can use the musical instrument to produce sound waves that are strong enough to damage things and and make anythings into half. The theory is that when a sound with certain frequency hits an object at which the objects molecules natural vibration is at the same frequency of the sound that hit it then a resonance occur and a violent huge wave of vibration is created and this energy is taken by the molecules of the object and due to uneven vibration within the object causes the object breaks. For example, a singer who creates the sound that vibrates with the same frequency of the glass molecule and thus resonance occur and breaks the glass. Besides that, we also can see the application of the newton's third law in which there is action-reaction when they hit people by kung fu.

Assalamualaikum
It is a Japanese manga series about a boy who eat a devil fruit that make him a rubberman. He will not break even if a lot of pressure a use on him. This tell that he follow Hooke's law because his elastic body is in linear elastic. He can't swim because the devil fruit make him weaker underwater. From this anime, I know that the shark can change it teeth like Arlong the shark do when he defeat Luffy. When Luffy and  his another eight crew want to sail,they will put down the sailcloth because they want to use they wind energy and the wave energy to move their ship. This show that the low pressure and high pressure is useful in moving ship or to stop anything. When the wind push the sailcloth, it make the pressure behind the sailcloth become low and in front of it become higher that behind the sailcloth and the ship can move forward.
I love this anime because it give me lot of spirits for me to success in my life and one of Luffy's words is "I smile don't mean my life is perfect, that's just the way I am grateful enjoy the life god has given",and his word that stuck deep in my life " if you don't take risk,you can't create a future","I want to become stronger!and stronger and stronger! And even stronger than that! And then,I'll be able to protect anything.. I won't have to lose everyone ever again!"and "if I die trying,at least I tried".

The Aggressives  is a 2005 South Korean film about a teen, Soyo, whose parents have abandoned him to fend for himself. He becomes immersed in the local inline skating subculture, and falls in love with the girlfriend of his skating tutor. 

A complete beginner, he practices at first in a hidden corner of the park. Here, he meets a group of wild skaters and immediately, one skater, Mogi  catches his eye. His adventurous jumps and breathtaking loops defy all laws of gravity. Mogi is without doubt the star of the group. His stunts, his style and the cool way he executes even the most daring of figures are unrivalled. 

  • Collision- in an elastic collision, momentum and kinetic energy are conserved. This is for when you just begin skating or aren't very good, you tend to fall and run into things which causes collision.
  • Newtons 1st law- This is also known as the Law of Motion. This law states that if there is a net force force extended on an object is zero, the object continues on its original motion. If you do not have any breaks, then the only way you can stop yourself is if you were to run into to something that is in your way.
  • Work- this is defined as the product of the component of the force along with the direction of displacement and the magnitude of displacement. This is like if you are learning to how to skate. The person teaching you may have to hold you up, therefore, you are doing work. 


Chicken Run

I like to watch cartoon because it make me feel young. ;) First and foremost this movie is story of an American rooster, Rocky who falls in love with a gorgeous hen, Ginger on a British farm. The couples decide to run away from the farm, but they must fight Mr. and Mrs. Tweedy who is the owner of the farm. They want to escape from them because Mrs. Tweedy comes up with the idea of converting her farm into the automated production of chicken pot pies. I choose this movie because there are some "fisika" here. In this movie is more related to aerofoil, which they use their wings to fly. A bird uses its tail and wings in unison to slow its speed and stall just above the ground before touching down. Unfortunately, they are not a bird. On one night, Ginger sits outside of the coop, she sees a Rhode Island Red cockerel named Rocky, who flies over the fence and accidentally crash into the coop. Ginger thought that Rocky can fly so she got idea how to escape from the coop. She asked Rocky teach them fly by using their wings. Wihout make all the chickens disappointed, he try to help them by put the chicken on a small trolley, and the trolley was connected by a rope that can pull and strain. From this i know that they use Newton's law. What a clever chicken. The trolley has been released from initial velocity. When the rope reach its limit, the chicken will fly and i can say that they do the projectile motion which i always do the calculation but those chickens apply it. But they failed because they cannot pass the high fence of the farm. Rocky puts Ginger and the other chickens through a set of exercises that seem to have no purpose, while assuring them that they are making progress. But actually they are not making any progress. Why? Because Rocky cannot fly. Actually Rocky was a stunt cockerel who "flew" by being shot from a cannon. From this i also can say that there is momentum and kinetic energy involve here. This make every chickens felt vey sad. Among of them, there is an older cockerel named Fowler who realise that he and the other chickens could fly out after all by using an airplane, built from the chicken coops. The chickens race against time to assemble their plane as the Tweedys busy with her pie machine. They work very hard to construct their flying machine just like Ibn Firnas. Finally, they had success construct their flying machine and they run from that British farm happily. To me its interesting movie. You guys should watch it.=)

The Longest Ride

The Longest Ride is a romantic film based on one of Nicholas Spark's novel. Well, it is romantic so you must have been wondering where will the physics fits in. 
In the movie, the hero, Luke is a professional bull rider. Bull riding is a rodeo sport that involves a rider getting on a bull and attempting to stay mounted while the animal attempts to buck off the rider. The forces that the bull exerts on the rider is the same as the force the rider exerts back on the bull. The difference is that the bull is about ten times the size of the rider, so that's a ten times the acceleration. He experienced G-force during the ride. 
There's also gravity effect when Luke was thrown off the bull. As the bull spins, we can see it accelerated and there was torque involved. Luke could only use one hand to stay on the bull. So he balances himself by staying at the center of the bull and with the help of his free hand. It is important for him to lean back when the bull dives forward to counter the momentum and then rhythmically shift his weight the opposite way when the bull tips up in the front.

The Martian

This film is about the crew of the Aves III manned mission to Mars. Unexpexctedly strong storm threatens them and Mark lost in the storm and stuck on Mars. This film show how Mark struggle to survive at Mars. He grow potatoes on Martian soil and use human waste product as a fertilizer. As at Mars has low gravity than the Earth, it help Mark to handle heavy equipment easily. 
In a mission to save Mark, the crew asked Mark to reduce MAV's mass by removing the component so that they hope the MAV will have a maximum speed. But, when the MAV was launched, its was not reach the expectation speed and altitude. The crew use thrusters force to change its speed of Hermes but that was not enough to reach Mark. Then, Mark pierces the glove of his pressure suit and uses the escaping air as thruster to reach to Hermes. 

Fast and furious 7

I don't know i can watched this movie so many times without feel that is bored. Physics in this movie ? there are some scene that come from physics concept. 


let's start with cars jumping from skyscrapers and dr iving out of planes. they are decided to load up their car in a cargo jet and drive away from the jet. they safety landed by using parachute. safely landed on the road. all the cars are extremely heavy.Therefore there would be a lot of stress on the parachute. The initial opening and throughout the flight. There is no reason why this wouldn’t work because a parachute slows down a mass proportional to the parachute area. This means you could even attach parachutes to the international space station and with a large enough area, have it return to the ground at a reasonable speed. parachute would be able to slow a car’s descent to earth 

Other than that the scene that Dom and Brian need to take a cip inside Lykan Hypersport that in the penthouse at the tallest tower. I don’t think anyone was expecting to see a Lykan Hypersport jump skyscrapers when they watched Fast and Furious 7 for the first time. There were many car stunts throughout the movie but this one was the most ridiculous of them all. Dom and Brian steal the 3.4 million dollar Lykan HyperSport from a penthouse suite, driving around the floor with naturally no roads to travel on. When an assassin, with a machine gun grenade launcher comes to kill them, Dom decides to jump the expensive sports car from one Abu Dhabi skyscraper to another. Against the odds he makes the jump. Then resizing their brakes don’t work they jumps yet another tower. they need to calculate the height, time and speed.
when the lykan hypersport fall down it actually used the concept of free fall.that is the acceleration is due to gravity this scene is insane! Best part of all it’s not to far from being possible. I like every part of it. The assassin with a grenade launcher who leaves them no choice but to jump buildings and not to mention the beautiful car they are driving.

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 4 ( GHOST PROTOCOL)

The movie that i had watched was mission impossible 4  . There are a lot of scene that relate with physics some of them are , scene when Ethan Hunt climbing thr Bruj Khalifa , he used the modified glove ,the most similar technology to this is the Gecko Glove that create synthetic adhesion system with 140cm^2 adehesion per hand that allow individual to hanging at the wall  . Althogh this technology could support Ethan , he could not have been able to manuever around the tower as he did in this movie.because the time is to short with the distance is far . this is  illogical at all.
        Next, the another scene is when the Ethan Hunt drives off the parking garage level that is very high. A fter impact ,the front of the car is only slightly damaged .The air bag deploys and Ethan survived and able to get out the car. Obviously, this scene showed the free fall motion , we know that free fall is influence by gravitional force and simply we also know the mass of the bmw car is insanely heavy so it wll be the very high impact in this crash.As he descends towords  the concrete , the air bag deployed and this we can relate to the impuls that increase the time impact .Basicly ,  air bags used would have only absorb maximum 2000 pounds of force based on the calculation that i;ve found in web according to this movie actually Ethan 's collision with the ground  would have resulted in a much larger force sustained and actually he tend to die, but in this movie he survive ?!.....
   We also can saw the example of in elastic collision in a scene when the Ethan is jumpimg  on the moving car and keep moving together, the car was doubled the mass of Ethan ,he as well as the car were accelerating due to the same direction.
           In this movie is actually present incorrect of physics ,but this movie is quite nice to be watched.
THE MARTIAN

"The Martian" is about American astronaut, Mark Watney, who is accidentally left for dead on the Martian surface. He has limited supplies and resources and no way to contact Earth. The astronaut could survive under these conditions and get himself rescued.
    The movie involves astronauts on the NASA spacecraft Hermes attempting something called a gravity assist, which is a trip around a planet in the direction in which it is rotating to get energy boost. This is a both a real maneuver in space travel and that it is accurately represented in "The Martian". In the film, the Hermes crew is on the way back to Earth when they realize that returning to Earth and then launching for Mars to get supplies to watery will take too long. Instead, they arrange to travel around Earth using the planet's gravitational field to propel the Hermes back toward Mars. This helps the crew save both time and fuel.
     
 

Project Almanac

          Project Almanac ialah sebuah filem yang mengisahkan tentang seorang budak genius yang bernama David Raskin dimana dia telah mencipta sebuah Mesin Masa hasil daripada penemuan sebuah peti yang ditinggalkan oleh bapanya dibawah rumahnya. David dan rakan-rakannya percaya bahawa ayah David meninggalkan peti itu untuk David supaya dia boleh menyambung penyelidikan ayahnya. Pada mulanya David sendiri tidak percaya bahawa alat yang ditinggalkan didalam peti itu adalah komponen utama untuk mencipta sebuah Mesin Masa. Namun begitu, disebabkan dia telah melihat sebuah video rakaman sewaktu hari jadinya ketika dia berumur 7 tahun, dia percaya bahawa alat tersebut adalah komponen yang sangat penting dalam pembinaan mesin masa. Hal ini kerana, di dalam video tersebut dia mendapati bahawa diri dia pada waktu ini telah berada dalam rakaman video yang telah lama dirakam. Dalam tugasan ini tentulah saya tidak akan menceritakan bagaimana David dan rakan-rakannya mencipta Mesin Masa tersebut, tetapi saya akan mengulas sedikit konsep fizik yang terdapat dalam filem ini.
          Konsep fizik yang saya dapat lihat ialah ketika cubaan David untuk menerbangkan Drone ciptaanya. Untuk menerbangangkan drone tersebut, ia perlu mematuuhi hukum newton dan konsep equilibrium. Ketika dia ingin menerbangkan Drone tersebut, kipas2 yang berada disekeliling drone telah bertindak sebagai daya luar yang bertindak keatas drone dan membantu drone untuk terbang. Jika jumlah daya-daya luar ini dapat mengatasi daya graviti, drone ini akan bergerak keatas dan jika jumlah daya-daya ini sama dengan daya graviti, maka drone tersebut akan berada dalam keadaan statik di udara. Manakala, jika kita ingin merendahkan altitude drone tersebut, kita hanya perlu mengurangkan daya-daya luar tersebut secara sedikit demi sedikit, dan drone tersebut akan turun kebawah dengan perlahan-lahan. Begitu juga jika kita ingin menggerakkan drone kedepan dan kebelakang, kita hanya perlu mengubah sedikit haluan kipas drone tersebut dan meningkatkan daya tersebut mengikut arah yang kita inginkan.
          Sebenarnya banyak lagi konsep fizik yang terlibat dalam filem ini, namun begitu saya hanya mampu mengulas satu daripadanya di dalam tugasan ini.

Finding Nemo

From the movie Finding Nemo. This story is about a clown fish named Marlin who was on a mission to search for his lost son, Nemo which was abducted by a boat and netted up, sent to a dentist’s office in Sydney. There were a lot of scenes that could be related to many physical concepts if only we learn to see from the eyes of a physicist. There was a scene where Dory emitted a whale sound to a whale underwater. As we know fish give signals to other fishes by emitting a sound. The particles in water that propagated into a wave therefore, forms a sound in form of a, wave. Besides that, there was also a part at the end of this movie where, a school of fish cries out in panic as a large net from a fishing boat envelopes them. Dory was caught up in the netting and Nemo said that he must swim in to instruct the fishes to swim down. We could see that when a bigger force which pulls downward parallel to gravity was made by defying the force that was made from the tension, which was upwards. The tension that was formed on the rope that connects between a net and a crane, which was connected to the boat made the boat nearly sinked into the water thus from the force downwards that was much stronger, eventually snapped the rope and the fishes successfully freed themselves. Yay! Newton’s second law came to the rescue! So, let us "Just keep swimming~"

    cerita ini mengisahkan tentang sekumpulan perompak. Mereka selalu menjalankan aktiviti haram mereka ini di rumah-rumah yang mereka sudah target. kisah fizik yang saya ingin ceritakan dalam cerita ini ialah. pada suatu malam,mereka merompak di rumah pesara tentera yang buta. mereka menjangka rancangan mereka kali ini akan berjaya. Tiba-tiba, tuan rumah menyedari kehadira mereka. salah seorang daripada perompak itu menghulur pistol kepada tuan rumah itu. Tetapi, tuan rumah itu boleh melawan perompak itu walaupon dia buta.
     Tuan rumah itu melawan dengan menembak perompak itu. dalam kisah ini,konsep fizik digunakan adalah momemtum,iaitu letupan. dimana momentum berlaku kerana adanya jisim dan halaju.
      seterusnya,perompak yang lain cuba melarikan diri. Tetapi seorang perompak jatuh diatas kaca yang retak dan perompak itu pengsan. Konsep fizik disini ialah hukum inertia. Ini kerana,hukum inertia menjelaskn bahawa sesuatu objek akan kekal dalam keadaan asalnya melainkan ada daya luar yang bertindak ke atasnya. Kisah ini terjadi apabila,perompak itu jatuh ke atas cermin yang retak itu, du=ia akan statik pada kedudukannya,tetapi apabila tuan rumah melemparkan sesuatu ke atas cermin itu perompak itu telah jatuh ke bawah.

Ramona and Beezus

This movie is about a girl, who is Ramona. She is a notorious girl who loves to imagine. She always had a fight with her sister, Beezus. I am not going to tell about the plot of this movie, but physics concept in this movie. I know many readers will wonder what are the physics concept in this movie.

If you ever watch this movie, can you remember a scene when Ramona pulls the luggage? You can observe that she had difficulties to pull the luggage. According to physics concept, she gave the force to the luggage so that the luggage can move. Force has relation with mass and acceleration. What can I say, as the heavier the mass the big the force. The luggage was so heavy because her mother put a bowling ball inside. This is because her mother did not want her to go far away. 

Next, the scene when she put a skateboard under a table in order to move that table outside the house. The table was put outside to help her sister to sell lemonade. Why she put that skateboard under the table? That is because friction. Yes! Friction. If she did not put that skateboard under the table, it will be hard to move because the friction is too big between the surface of the ground and and the table. So, the function of that skateboard is to reduce the friction in that situation.

See? Everything that we do in our daily life is related to physics, even in this movie also have physics concept.

ANGRY BIRDS

     

      So this story is about a pig trying to steal an egg from a bird village to eat it. At first, the bird thought the pigs were their friends but somehow the pigs are planning to destroy the village. Red which is the hero very were very curious about the pigs because there is something in their pocket they did'nt reveal. So he and his friends Chuck and Bomb find a way to rescue the eggs. At last, they finally rescued the eggs from being eaten by the pigs with the help of whole bird village and mighty eagle.
     
      The physics concept in this story was projectile motion. The tools that make them fly is the slingshot that shape like Y and have a strong rubber band that obey the hooke's law. The bird at first didn't know how to fly. So the important things in the projectile motion is the angle of projectile and the velocity of the bird. But the angle of projectile must be at a certain point because too much angle or less can  make the bird fly too short or fly downwards. At one time Red want to land at the castle of the pigs so he told terence which is the biggest of them all to pull him as far as he can and make an angle a little bit higher at the aiming point. Then he eventually land at the aiming point and recscue all the eggs. The shape of the object can also affected the motion of the projectile. For an example, that the green bird which is shape like a boomerang fly towards and backwards after the slingshot was launched because of the shape of his beak which is long and look like a banana.
   
      For a conclusion, projectile motion is the only physics concept in this movie which i can explain. So physics is about our life. Every movie are related to physics except romance and magic of the whole time.

Cerita ini mengisahkan seorang lelaki india yang mengharungi liku liku kehidupan di atas lautan yang sangat luas , salah satu pengalaman yang dia hadapi ialah fenomena AIR LAUT MENERIMA BIASAN CAHAYA.
FENOMENA APAKAH ITU ?

Dalam erti kata lain ianya dikenali sebagai fenomena BIOLIMINESENSI 

Teluk Mosquito yang ada di Pulau Vieques, Kepulauan Karibia adalah lokasi tempat terjadinya fenomena bioluminesensi yang paling terkenal. Pendaran cahaya di antara air laut di sana disebut-sebut yang terindah jika dibandingkan dengan pantai-pantai lain yang juga menawarkan pesona keunikan bioluminesensi.

Pendaran cahaya biru terang di air laut Puerto Mosquito disebabkan karena dinoflagellata. Puerto Mosquito adalah habitat dinoflagellata yang terbesar di muka bumi. Diperkirakan ada 720.000 dinoflagellata berpendar dalam satu galon air laut di Puerto Mosquito. Karena itulah pendaran cahaya biru di sana tampak sangat cemerlang.


Selain daripada fenomena alam yang sangat menarik untuk dlihat dalam filem ini adalah, fenomna taufan lautan 
fenomena ini kebiasaannya terjadi di lautan yang luas seperti di lautan hindi mahupuan tengah lautan antartika 
bagaimana fenomena alam ini boleh terjadi ? 

Angin bertiup merentasi permukaan lautan menghasilkan ombak, yang berpecah apabila mencapai air cetek. Angin juga menghasilkan arus permukaan melalui geseran, menghasilkan peredaran perlahan tetapi stabil di serata lautan. Arah peredaran ditentukan oleh faktor termasuk bentuk benua dan putaran Bumi (kesan Coriolis). Arus laut dalam, dikenali sebagai tali sawat penyampai global, membawa air sejuk dari dekat dengan kutub ke setiap lautan. Pasang surut, naik turun aras laut yang secara amnya dua kali sehari, disebabkan oleh putaran Bumi dan kesan gravitasi Bulan yang mengorbit dan, kepada takat kurang, Matahari. Pasang surut mungkin mempunyai julat sangat tinggi di teluk atau muara.

Selain itu, KONSEP FIZIK yang ada dalam dalam cerita ini ialah keseimbangan 
dalam cerita ini menunjukkan bagaimana PI membina sebuah perahu dengan menggunakan kayu kayan 
dalam aspek ini daya keseimbangan amat dititikberatkan untuk memastikan sampan yang dibina itu mampu bertahan dan stabil apabila berada di atas air 
semua objek yang ada didunia ini mempunyai daya keseimbangan bumi juga mempunyai daya keseimbangan yang tersendiri 
daya keseimbangan dan kestabilan merupakan perkara yang berbeza namun kedua duanya mempunyai maksud yang sama 

sebagai contoh mudah , zirafah akan membuka kakinya ketika ia merendahkan lehernya untuk meminum air, disini terbukti bahawa setiap perkara yanag ada di duani ini akan mempertimbangkan daya keseimbangan.

The Martian



                The Martian is about a group of astronaut Martinez, Mark Watney, Beck, Johanssen and Vogel lead by Commander Lewis. They had been given a mission at Mars named Martian Mission. With current technology, the trips to Mars would take at least 150 days. Through this story, there are few ways to send a spacecraft there. The most energy-efficient routes is by put the spacecraft in a highly elliptical orbit that takes the spacecraft far beyond Mars once it deposits the astronauts on the planet surfaces. But, if something happens to the astronaut on the planet, there is no way they can return to Earth. Also, the astronaut’s depart spacecraft required thermal shielding. It is depends on what speed it depart the main craft and how much fuel needed. Radiation is a serious problem at Martian mission. Once astronauts leaves Earth’s magnetic field, they receiving large doses of radiation from solar flares and cosmic rays. Some can be stopped by plastic but the other needed lot of shielding. So, they build a protective cabin by using metal or water to absorb the radiation. I am curious about the weather of Mars. Mars has storm but the atmosphere is too thin and the pressure is too low to blow piece of satellite and hurt Mark. About gravity at Mars, Mark performs little hops when walk across the surfaces because the gravity less than Earth. Low gravity also helps Mark to move heavy equipment and his ketchup flow more quickly in movie than in real life. Lastly, Mark seems sweating a lot in his spacesuits. He also gets cold easily because heat dissipates quickly on the Mars surfaces.
