I love to follow my mom to her working sites. mostly at the noon. As I looked around, the road, vehicles and paddy field, suddenly I looked at something. It caught my eyes. I saw like a line of water on the road from afar and when we drove closed to it, it disappeared! How cool is that! Then I knew from what I have learnt at school, it was a mirage.
" Mirages happen when the ground is very hot and the air is cool. The hot ground warms a layer of air just above the ground. When the light moves through the cold air and into the layer of hot air it is refracted (bent). A layer of very warm air near the ground refracts the light from the sky nearly into a U-shaped bend." - source from internet.

So, since then I will look up for the mirage whenever I'm in a car during sunny afternoon. It attracts me more and more about physics.
